In the UAE, toll gates are present in different emirates, including Dubai (Salik), Abu Dhabi (Darb), and Ras Al Khaimah (Aber). Salik is the electronic toll collection system used in Dubai. Salik toll gates are located at various points across the city, including Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Garhoud Bridge, and Al Mamzar Bridge. On January 2, 2021, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi commenced the collection of road tolls. Toll gates are located on the four bridges leading to the Abu Dhabi city:
- Sheikh Zayed Bridge
- Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Bridge
- Al Maqtaa Bridge
- Mussafah Bridge.
How many tolls are there in Salik?
There are a total of eight gates and they operate 24/7:
- Al Maktoum Bridge (Umm Hurair Road)
- Al Garhoud Bridge (Sheikh Rashid Road)
- Al Mamzar North (Al Ittihad Road)
- Al Mamzar South (Al Ittihad Road)
- Al Safa (Sheikh Zayed Road)
- Al Barsha (Sheikh Zayed Road)
- Airport Tunnel (Beirut Street)
- Jebel Ali (Sheikh Zayed Road)

There are four strategically placed DARB Toll gate locations in Abu Dhabi to effectively manage traffic congestion and improve transportation efficiency. These DARB toll gates are located at the following locations:
