What is E-ZPass VA
E-ZPass VA or E-ZPass Virginia[1] is a transponder (tag) that you can put in your vehicle to pay toll across all Virginia toll roads, bridges, tunnels and express lanes. Being part of the E-ZPass network, it can also be used in all the states where E-ZPass is valid.

How much is an Ezpass VA
It costs a minimum of $35 to open an E-ZPass VA account online or at a Service Center.
Transponders at the retail stores cost $35: $15 of prepaid toll balance for immediate use in Virginia and $20 prepaid toll balance after the transponder is registered to an account.
Note: The E-ZPass VA transponder is given to you on lease by the Virginia Department of Transportation[2]. You must return it to them when the account is closed or will have to pay $10 for a standard transponder or $20 for a Flex transponder.
