BelToll Toll System, the Belarus electronic toll collection system, uses Dedicated Short Range Communication[1], removing the hassle of stopping at toll bars (toll plazas). Using on-board units (OBU) mounted on the windscreen of vehicles and receiver/transmitters at tolling stations (metal gantries), the BelToll system deducts charges automatically from the driver's OBU account.
