Delaware Turnpike
The Delaware Turnpike feeds into the Delaware Memorial Bridge and is therefore one of the few ways of getting across the Delaware River. No good alternative routes are available to drivers traveling up the east coast. Much of the Turnpike passes through wooded areas and it crosses the Christina River. Tolls must be paid while driving both North and South on the Turnpike.

The Delaware Memorial Bridge[1] carries I-295 and US-40 over Delaware River. While not a part of I-95, it connects two parts of the highway: the Delaware Turnpike (I-95 in Delaware) and the south side with the New Jersey Turnpike (later I-95) on the north side. Tolls are collected in one-direction only; while traveling from New Jersey to Delaware. Passenger vehicles pay one-way toll of $4.00 while traveling from New Jersey to Delaware.
