MPTC and MPIC are the biggest private sector toll roads operators in the Philippines. Subic–Clark–Tarlac Expressway, also named (SCTEX) which starts from Manila and ends at Tarlac is the longest toll road (93 km) in the Philippines consisting of 60 toll plazas.

Vehicle Classification

Vehicles are categorized into three classes namely Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3.

  • Class 1 : Class 1 consist of Car, Pick up trucks, Jeepney van, Van and Motorcycles over 400cc.
  • Class 2 : This class contains All the Buses and small Trucks.
  • Class 3 : Large cargo trucks with and without trailers come under this category.

Modes of Payment

Drivers can pay using a variety of payment methods at the physical toll plazas in the Philippines. Following Payment options are available:

  • Tags:
    • Autosweep: Autosweep is a RFID tag transponder. Autosweep works on SLEX, Skyway, NAIX and TPLEX toll roads.
    • Easytrip: Easytrip RFID tag is acceptable on SCTEX, NLEX, CALAX and CAVITEX.
  • Cards: Users can pay using various prepaid cards like Beep card, Mastercard prepaid and Credit cards.
  • Cash: Cash payments are accepted in all the toll plazas in the Philippines.

The SLEX toll road starts from Bicutan and ends at Calamba. This is the fee for the entire SLEX toll road.
